Bonjour again! I cannot believe the holiday season is here already! Time has gone so fast as we have been working very hard to prepare for my restaurant’s grand opening in early 2011. It is so much fun and very rewarding to see Philippe Restaurant + Lounge coming together . Just last week we were delivered some of the furniture, fixtures, china and flatware, and everything is so beautiful in person – more than I imagined even!
Let us move on to the video on this blog post. Because my favorite American holiday of Thanksgiving is here and because Christmas is next month, I want to show you how to make an easy and delicious recipe for pumpkin soup that will be a perfect addition for any meal. Of course Thanksgiving is my favorite American holiday as it is all about the big meal! I love any holiday that has friends and families coming together for good food, good wine, and good company!!
The first thing I do when I make a great dish is to I must find superior ingredients. For this soup, of course I went to Texas-based Whole Foods to do some shopping! Whole Foods Community Liaison Kimberly Crowder helped me find my way around the store on Woodway which was just big enough for me to get everything I need but still easy to shop in. Kimberly is a very friendly girl who was so welcoming and helpful to us in our hunt for ingredients. Shopping was enjoyable because the store has beautiful produce and the rest of the things I needed to make this tasty soup!
Please watch this fun video of our shopping trip with Kimberly and then I will demonstrate on the video how to make the soup. Be sure to comment or send me a message on Facebook if you have any questions about the recipe!
Also, if you make the soup be sure to let me know how you like it! Bon Appétit!
